Need help? Email luc.alexander.sun@icloud.com. Tell us your iPhone or iPad model, your Apple TV model and what happened, and we’ll get back to you.
Getting started
- Install TVAirScreen on your Apple TV and open it. It shows a QR code and a 4‑digit code.
- On your iPhone or iPad, install TVAirScreen (scan the QR code) and tap Connect to Apple TV.
- Choose your TV. The first time, enter the code shown on the TV.
- Choose photos. They appear on the TV. Press Play/Pause on the Siri Remote for a slideshow.
Troubleshooting
My iPhone can’t find the Apple TV
- Make sure TVAirScreen is open on the Apple TV and the devices are in the same room with Wi‑Fi turned on.
- On the iPhone, check Settings › TVAirScreen › Local Network is on. Without it, the app can’t see the TV.
- Still nothing? Force quit TVAirScreen on both devices and open it again.
The TV keeps asking for a code
Each new phone enters the code once. If the code was wrong, look at the TV again: it shows a new code after each successful connection and after several wrong tries. The TV owner can turn the code off with “Code for new devices” on the TV’s start screen, or remove every remembered phone with “Forget paired devices”.
A photo didn’t arrive
Keep the iPhone near the TV while sending. If the connection drops, tap Connect to Apple TV and send again. Large batches take a while, so wait until the progress finishes.
Sending from Photos, Files or Safari
Tap the Share button, then TVAirScreen. If you don’t see it, scroll to the end of the row of apps, tap More, and add TVAirScreen.
